We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Architect to support a large-scale, cloud-based enterprise data warehouse initiative. This role is critical in designing scalable, secure, and high-performing data architecture to support analytics and reporting needs across a statewide organization. The ideal candidate excels in bridging business strategy with technical execution, translating complex business and research requirements into robust data solutions.


 




  • Lead the design and implementation of data architecture and pipelines in a cloud-based data warehouse environment.




  • Collaborate with business analysts, researchers, and stakeholders to define and document data requirements.




  • Present and defend technical architecture solutions to senior leadership, including CIO and data teams.




  • Design ETL/ELT workflows, database schemas, and automation pipelines using modern data tools.




  • Serve as a liaison between technical and business teams, facilitating alignment and resolving conflicts.




  • Contribute to and promote data governance practices and documentation standards.




  • Participate in strategic decision-making to ensure data infrastructure supports evolving business needs.




  • Produce monthly status reports summarizing progress and deliverables.




Required Qualifications :

 




  • Extensive hands-on experience architecting and managing cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure).




  • Advanced expertise in data modeling, including dimensional modeling and normalization.




  • Proven experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines, ideally with Snowflake and Talend.




  • Strong ability to translate business/research needs into executable technical architecture.




  • Experience presenting technical solutions to senior executives.




  • Deep understanding of data governance, policy development, and documentation.




  • Experience creating analytics dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Power BI).




  • Familiarity with government operations, regulatory reporting, or judicial systems.




  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, SOC2, GDPR).




  • Background in user-centered design and stakeholder engagement.
